The active ingredient in the Chlori Home tablet is Sodium dichloroisocyanurate (CAS: 2893-78-9), abbreviated as NaDCC.

The product is an acidic solution when the tablet is dissolved in water.4 NaDCC tablets are dissolved in water to prepare a disinfecting solution for hard, non-porous surfaces. USEPA (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency | US EPA) has approved the use of NaDCC as a hard-surface disinfectant for hospitals and manufacturing facilities when used in accordance with the label.

Technical Description:
Effervescent tablet containing 1.67 g sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC), which releases 1 g available chlorine when dissolved in water
Strength of solutions is generally not expressed in NaDCC concentration but in content of available chlorine.
Expressed in percentage, parts per million (pm) or in g or mg per litre (1ppm = 1mg/litre=0.0001%).
1 tablet per litre = 1g/l or 0.1% or 1000 ppm available chlorine
Packed in a tamper-evident container of 200 tablets

To assure that the product is chemical safe at the maximum dose and that impurities and heavy metal contents are below the maximum acceptable levels for use as treatment of water intended for human consumption, the anhydrous sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC) must be certified by NSF International (or delegated organism) to the NSF/ANSI Standard 60. The regulations of EN 12931:2000 Standard shall be respected.
The effervescent base (etc.) used in addition to the NaDCC must be of Pharmaceutical or Food Grade.

Uses:
Main purpose: for treating drinking water for human consumption.
Dissolve 1 tablet in 200 litres of clean water.
Allow contact for 30 minutes minimum before drinking.
Cloudy water should first be filtered or allowed to settle.

Disinfection of infected wounds: one tablet per litre water.

Disinfection of instruments, objects, equipment, linen:
Clean conditions: one tablet per litre water.
Medium clean conditions: 2 tablets per litre water.
Dirty conditions: 5 tablets per litre water.
Blood spillage: 10 tablets per litre water.
Drinking water disinfection: 1 tablet per 200 litres clear water.

CAUTION: Avoid inhaling vapour and dust during handling.
Do not expose the product to flame. Do not incinerate.
The product can be mixed with anionic detergents such as soft soap. In case of doubt about the nature of the detergent avoid mixture. Toxic chlorine gas can be released with other types of detergent. Only anionic detergents (as i.e. soft soap) can safely be mixed with NaDCC solutions.
Do not mix with acid solutions (i.e. urine). It causes release of toxic chlorine gas.
Store in dry and well ventilated places
DO NOT SWALLOW THE TABLETS.
Do not take internally
Avoid contact with skin and eyes
Upon contact with skin and eyes, wash with water immediately.
