COMPOSITION & CHARACTERISTICS

Peracet 15 Plus is a Peracetic acid . It is a bright, colorless liquid that has a piercing odor and a low pH value (2,8).
Peracetic, or peroxyacetic acid, is characterized by a very rapid action against all microorganisms. A special advantage of peracetic acid is its lack of harmful decomposition products (i.e., acetic acid, water, oxygen, hydrogen peroxide); it enhances removal of organic material and leaves no residue.

Applications and Uses

1- For Endoscopes and other heat sensitive devices:
Used to chemically sterilize medical (e.g., GI endoscopes) and surgical (e.g., flexible endoscopes) instruments. Lumened Endoscopes must be connected to an appropriate channel connector to ensure that the sterilant has direct contact with the contaminated lumen (For Endoscopes, change solution in every use).
2- Provide effective cleaning and disinfection action of instruments. Used amount can last for several days (up to 7 days) if still appears clear, otherwise, it should be changed with new material as soon as the impurities appear .

How to prepare and use the solution

prepare a 0.1 – 0.7% from concentrated Peracet 15 Plus (1ml – 7ml according to dirtness and contamination status) for 1L of ordinary drinking water (dipping bath in cold or warm water).
Immerse instrument completely, Soak for 20 – 30 minutes.
Rinse and dry, Put away in a clean and dry place or directly wrap the instruments for autoclaving.
It is necessary to cleanup the instruments with detergent before placing into Peracet 15 plus solution bath.
Used amount should be changed daily and during day it should be changed with new material as soon as the impurities appear .
Peracet 15 plus solution should stay placed and covered in NON Transparent container during utilization.

Important Not: For Endoscopes (e.g., GI Endoscopes) and surgical (e.g., flexible Endoscopes), the prepared (diluted soloution) amount MUST BE changed with every use (Endoscope disinfection process) and NEW disinfection solution prepared for the next contaminated Endoscope.
